How it works
The Trodat Seal can be used with any Microsoft® Windows® application. The seal is added to a document by simply clicking on the usual print command. This gives the option to convert the document into a PDF file which can then be sealed, and if extra security is required, can be also signed using the digital pen and tablet.
The person who receives the sealed PDF file only has to click on the seal to verify that the document is authentic and has not been altered since it was sealed. The recipient can also print the PDF and view a hardcopy of the document and seal.
The Trodat Seal
- Register with the Trodat Seal Service and create your seal logo
- Once you have finalised your Windows® document, click on the 'print' command and select 'Trodat Seal from your print options
- Choose the seal logo you wish to apply to the document
- Your document becomes a .PDF file and can be:
- sent
electronically by email
in printed from by post
saved
on your PC or server
by printing and filing

Receiving a sealed document
- Simply click on the 'check link' of the digital seal within the document. You will receive a certificate that verifies the legitimacy of the document and the identity of the signatory.

Ordering the Trodat Seal
The Trodat Seal software is supplied as an installation CD or internet download link. The standard Trodat Seal includes registration fee, one seal logo and 50 seal imprints. In addition, for added security, the Digital Pen and Tablet can be ordered (this includes the driver software for Windows® and integration components for the Trodat Seal software).
