Office Supplies & Managed Services, Account Manager/Business Development Manager (Public & Private Sector)

Overview

Clares is one of the largest independent suppliers of business services in the UK. Due to recent growth we are look-ing to appoint an experienced business development manager within our Office Supplies and Managed Services team.

It is preferable that you will have a good understanding of both the private and the public sector and will be able to demonstrate a capability of winning new business and developing existing accounts.

You will report directly to the Sales Manager, providing account management for a range of both Public Sector and Private Sector accounts across the UK.

Working from a defined list of prospects, you will be responsible for creating new business opportunities in line with set targets, across our range of workplace products and managed services.

You will have responsibility for the implementation and set up of new accounts with a view of increasing the custom-ers spend by product penetration and gross profit for the initial management of the account.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Sales pipeline management
  • Account time management (organisation & administration)
  • Reporting
  • Forward planning
  • Client development and profitability planning
Essentials:
  • Strong knowledge of the sales cycle - both transactional and solution selling
  • Significant sales experience in a similar field
  • Excellent presentation skills using Powerpoint and associated technologies
  • Significant understanding of bid management and tendering processes
  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Experience of ability to achieve set targets including revenue and margin
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with customers successfully and effectively
  • Exposure of working with customers to identify issues and needs and apply appropriate solutions
Additional benefits available:

MPS Account Manager / Business Development Manager (Public & Private Sector)

Overview
 
Clares is one of the largest independent suppliers of business services in the UK. Due to recent growth we are looking to appoint an experienced business development manager within our Managed Print Services team.
 
It is preferable that you will have a good understanding of the public sector and will be able to demonstrate a capability of winning new business and developing existing accounts.
 
You will report directly to the Head of Sales, providing account management for a range of of both Public Sector and Private Sector accounts across the UK.
 
You will be responsible for existing and new accounts, creating new business opportunities across a range of products, including both hardware and software solutions from document management through to managed print service. This will encompass the full sales lifecycle from inception to closing the deal to achieve monthly revenue target.

  • Time management and organisational skills
  • Experience of ability to achieve set targets including revenue and margin
  • Ability to influence and negotiate with customers successfully and effectively
  • Exposure of working with customers to identify issues and needs and apply appropriate solutions
