Clares joins forces with Prism to create The Business Supplies Group (BSG)

We are delighted to announce a very exciting development for our company and our customers.

On the 1st April Clares merged with Prism. The two organisations have been working together to supply a number of key customers for the last 10 years and the relationship has existed at a senior level for more than 25 years.

The newly merged business is called The Business Supplies Group (BSG). It is a merger of equals that creates a business with a £27m+ annual turnover. With Clares operating across Dorset, Hampshire, West and East Sussex, Surrey and Greater London, and Prism operating along the M5 corridor from the West Midlands down through Wiltshire and Devon, the merger makes us the largest southern based supplier of business consumables and services.

BSG combines the propositions and strengths of both organisations and draws on the depth of knowledge and industry expertise that exists within each business. Core product and service categories that are now available across the group include: Office Products, In-house Print Production & Print Management, Office Interiors, Managed Print Services, Hybrid Mail, Corporate Merchandise & Incentives.

The blue and pink colourway on our new logo represents the corporate colours from both Clares & Prism, the green represents our sustainable values. We are very much committed to reducing our environmental impact by offsetting our company’s carbon emissions, in addition to this, we have some new and exciting environmental projects which we will share with you all in the future.

The merged business also greatly enhances our existing print capability. The recent investment in a Heidelberg Speedmaster CX 75 LE-UV Push to Stop litho printing press supports our combined goal to reduce our carbon footprint and raises the efficiency, sustainability and cost effectiveness of our printing services.
